I returned to teaching during the 2007-2008 school year after being home with my two sons for 12 years. I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University. After working as an engineer for several years, I returned to school and earned a Masters degree in Math Education from Rutgers. When I’m not in the classroom, you will find me at home baking, gardening or reading, walking my two pups through the neighborhood or at yoga.
I love mathematics and am very eager to share this passion with you! Mathematics is an important part of our world and I encourage students to make connections between what they learn in the classroom and the world around them. As our society becomes more dependent on technology, it is more critical for our children to develop an understanding of mathematical concepts and the analytical thinking used to solve math problems.
My goal is for every student to have a positive experience in math. I will provide a comfortable and encouraging environment with opportunities for hands-on learning. I encourage students to work together and discuss the problems they are solving with one another. By learning from and helping peers, they will reinforce the concepts that are being developed. |
